DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The St. Thomas Bobcats lost to the Embry-Riddle volleyball team Friday night in a three set match (25-21, 25-15, 25-14).
Slavica Stefanovic (Fr. OH)was the only bright spot for the Bobcats offensively, as she recorded 12 kills. Angie Ardiles (Fr. Lib) led St. Thomas defensively with 15 digs. The Eagles were off to a first set victory over STU, 25-21. ERAU picked up the momentum in set two and held the Bobcats to just 15 points. The Eagles served up five aces and tallied 12 kills which made the difference for them to soar over the Bobcats, 25-15. ERAU took home the match after a kill by Anastase closed out the set, 25-14. St. Thomas had a poor showing offensively as their hitting average was negative for the first time this season.
Bobcats look forward to amending today's performance tomorrow Saturday, at 1 p.m. in their first ever match-up vs Southeastern University.
