Daytona Beach, Fla.- The Volleyball team traveled to Embry-Riddle's campus Friday for the first-round of the Sun Conference Tournament. The Bobcats fell to Warner in four games.
Statistically, the match was fairly even. Both teams tied with 53 kills, while Warner bested the Bobcats in attacking percentage .225-.176. The Bobcats had a bit of trouble off their serve recording nine errors to Warner's three. A statistician would've had a hard time determining a winner by simply looking at the books.
Warner took the first game 25-18, but STU rallied to level the match in the second game 25-21. Warner took the third, again 25-18. The Bobcats battled with their season on the line, but fell just short as Warner took the final game 25-23.
The Bobcats finish the 2009 season 12-9.
