The Bobcat Volleyball played four matches this week to wrap up their regular season . The Bobcats locked up an appearance in the Sun Conference Tournament earlier in the week but took advantage of their final four matches to improve their record.
Their first match came Wednesday against Ave Maria, where the Bobcats needed four games to close out the Gyrenes (25-19, 26-28, 25-23, 25-16) in Naples, Fla. STU had a double-header Friday against Edward Waters and Webber Int'l. The match against Edward Waters wasn't much of a competition as the Bobcats dominated in three games (25-9, 25-8, 25-15). Webber took advantage of the Bobcats' short rest in-between matches and shut STU out in three games (18-25, 17-25, 22-25). The Bobcats concluded their road trip Saturday with the regular season's final match at Warner. STU finished strong and got the win in four games (25-17, 25-20, 20-25, 25-13).
The Bobcats (12-8 overall) finish the regular season 11-7 and in 4th place in the Sun Conference. STU will compete in the Sun Conference Tournament next weekend, seeds have yet to be announced. Check back to
