Bobcats rebound from slow start

Max Keen played the best individual round of golf at the tournament.

DAYTONA BEACH, FLAfter a first round of golf that left the team in 12th place out of 14 teams the St. Thomas University Golf team bounced back over the final two rounds to finish 8th at the 20th Annual Eagle Invitational.  The 2nd round performance by the Bobcats played a significant role in their improvement; they put together the 5th best team score during the round. 

 

Max Keen played the best three rounds of golf for the Bobcats, he finished tied for 14th.  His second round score of 69 on the par 72 course was tied for the best round score played by any golfer at the event.  Keen was one of two Bobcats to finish in the top 25 and Brian Alfonso was the other.  Alfonso was consistent during the tournament scoring 78, 76, and 77.  The Bobcats play again April 5, at the Barry University Invitational.
