KANSAS CITY, MO – The St. Thomas University Bobcats' Men's Tennis Team picked up their first ranking in quite sometime. The Bobcats enter the 2009 NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll at 20th. This is the 4th ranking that has come out for the tennis season. The Bobcats strong play through the season has helped them to steadily start to get votes in the poll, until the recent entry into the poll. The Bobcats overall record is at 6-5 and 3-2 in The Sun Conference.

The new ranking comes fresh off a victory over Hamilton College last week. The Bobcats dominated the match dropping only 1 point. The Bobcats have been showing a gradual improvement as the matches go along.

The Bobcats had a few goals to start the season off and one of those goals was to achieve a national ranking. The Bobcats have now achieved that goal and will be looking to embark on the rest of their goals for the finish of the season.

Rollins College will be coming to town on Sunday (March 29) to play the Bobcats. Rollins is a national DII power and should provide some very tough matches for the young Bobcats. The match time is set for 10:00 am and will be played at home.
