St. Thomas University Athletics

Sylvia Catherine Palermo is the newest addition to the St. Thomas women's soccer team, and head coach Michelle Smith expects her to provide needed depth at the midfield and forward positions.  Palermo was born in Rochester, New York and was selected to the New York State West ODP team 4 years in a row.  She was named Orlando Sentinel athlete of the week as well as All-county first team.  Catherine Palermo accomplished all this while showcasing her leadership skills as a captain during her junior and senior seasons at Celebration High School.
