Men's Soccer Locks Up Top Recruit
Mike Hinden
Mike Hinden

The Bobcat soccer program got markedly better this week as prized recruit Mike Hinden of Western High School in Davie, Florida signed a letter of intent for next season.  Hinden is an offensive center-mid who was a four year varsity player at Western, and captain of his team last season.  He was selected 1st Team All-County by the Miami Herald after a 9 goal and 9 assist season in which he guided his squad to an 18-4 record where they reached the regional playoffs.  Hinden also played for the Plantation Eagles U-18 team, where he lead the team in both goals and assists.  STU head coach Felix Mats was understandably excited in securing a player of this stature, and opined, "Mike is a talented midfielder who we expect to contribute right away, and be a valuable player on the 2009 STU team."
