Cesar Chavez-Jacobo

Former St. Thomas University guard Cesar Chavez-Jacobo is playing for the Bameso basketball club in the Dominican Republic District National (D2) league. He has appeared in the team’s first three games playing point-guard behind former Florida International (NCAA DI) and Miami Tropics (USBL) standout Nelson “Junior” Matias. His best game to this point in his young professional career produced 6 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists in limited minutes.
Chavez-Jacobo is coming off a year where he averaged 14 points, 3 assists, 8 rebounds, and recorded 14 double-doubles while providing senior leadership to the 2008-2009 Sun Conference Championship team.  Chavez-Jacobo also graduated this past year with his Masters degree in Business Administration.  St. Thomas wishes Cesar the best in pursuing his professional career and thanks him for being an exemplary student-athlete during his time as a Bobcat.
