DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Bobcat Golf Team played in the Eagle Invitational against Sun Conference opponents this weekend. The Bobcats overcame #2 SCAD en route to their 5th place finish this weekend. Estaban Aristizabal and Omar Tejeira finished in a 5-way 10th place tie with an overall score of 10-over par. Aristizabal shot a strong 73 in his final round after slipping with a 78 in the second. Tejeira was fairly consistent, shooting 74, 75, 77 respectively. Max Keen finished just behind this group, shooting 11-over for the tournament. STU’s final score came contribution came from Derek Wilcox, who recorded rounds of 83, 78, 76. As a team, STU finished 19 strokes behind tournament winner, Brevard CC at 27-over. The Bobcats will go to Jacksonville, NC later this week for continued golf action.
