Bobcat Baseball falls to 7-12 following 5-2 loss at Nova Wednesday

DAVIE, Fla. – The Bobcats went to Nova Southeastern Wednesday to take on Nova for the second time this season. STU couldn’t get past Nova and fell 5-2.

 

The game was scoreless through four innings but both teams managed one run apiece in the fifth to tie it at 1-1.  STU grabbed the lead in the sixth but Nova had a 3-run seventh to claim a 4-2 lead.  Nova closed out the game with a run in the bottom of the eighth to reach the 5-2 decision.

 

Andres Ibarz was credited with the loss, giving up 3 earned runs and 5 hits through sixth and a third.  Stephen Merino had the Bobcats only RBI, adding 2 hits in 4 ABs.  The Bobcats fall to 7-12 and will welcome Wilmington University to Esposito Field tomorrow at 6 PM.
