ROME, Ga. – The Golf team competed in the Rome News-Tribune Invitational earlier this week and finished 6th out of 17 teams. Three Bobcats finished in the top-25 including Estaban Aristizabal with an outstanding 2-under par 142 to place 6th. Aristizabal was just two shots off the pace, firing a 4-under 68 in his first round. Aristizabal held it together the second day and managed a 2-over 74 to finish in 6th out of 105 competitors. Other contributors include Omar Tejeira and Max Keen, each shooting a 5-over 149 and joining a large group at the 25th position overall. Julian Gil also squeezed into the top-50 with his 9-over total of 153. STU’s strong showing is their second of the spring season. The Bobcats will compete amongst Sun Conference competition in Daytona Beach from March 12-14.
