Bobcats move on in NAIA Tournament after extra inning rally

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - STU held off a rally from Rio Grande Thursday to force a tenth inning.  Lance Larimer ripped his second triple of the game while leading off the tenth inning and scored the game-winning run.

The Bobcats were up 5-0 through four innings before Rio Grande put 7 runs together in three innings.  St. Thomas answered with 2 runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to even the game at 7 apiece.

Elio Rey held Rio Grande scoreless in the tenth and Larimer stepped it up late to edge the Bobcats past Rio Grande, 8-7.
