Bobcats dominate Embry-Riddle, force Regional Final

True Freshman, Dane Stone pitched a complete game shut out against Embry-Riddle Thursday
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - St. Thomas came out hot against Embry-Riddle Thursday in an elimination game.  True Freshman, Dane Stone pitched a complete shut out for the Bobcats with the support of 7 runs.

STU got hot early, drawing blood in the bottom of the first inning, and backed it up with 3 more runs in the second.  St. Thomas entered the fifth inning with a 4-0 advantage and added their final three runs in the fifth, sixth, and eighth innings.

It was a full team effort offensively for the Bobcats, as no player recorded more than a single RBI for the game.  Victor Madrazo led the attack with 3 hits, 1 run, and 1 RBI in 4 ABs.  Alvaro Bastos added 3 hits, while Marlon Pascual, Stephen Merino, Ozzie Sanchez, and Ruy Rodriguez added 2 hits apiece.

The Regional Final will be played tomorrow at 2 PM, and the winner will move onto the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho.
