DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Bobcats hung tough against Embry-Riddle in the regional final Friday, but the Eagles prevailed with a walk off double in the bottom of the ninth inning.

STU struck first with a run in the top of the first inning.  The Bobcats held Embry-Riddle scoreless until the bottom of the fifth where they evened the game at 1 apiece.  STU answered with a go-ahead run in the top of the sixth and held the Eagles with a 2-1 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth.  Anthony Perez gave up a 2-out double that scored the game-winning run and ended St. Thomas' season.

The Bobcats had a great season which saw them go from being the 5th seed in the Sun Conference Tournament to reaching the tournament final, and advance through a difficult region in the NAIA National Tournament that ended in a series finale.

Join us in congratulating the Bobcats on an excellent season.
