St. Thomas University Athletics

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - Heberto Guanipa signed with St. Thomas last weekend, and comes to campus from nearby Hialeah.  Guanipa, 6'9, played at Champagnat Catholic and will contribute right away for the Bobcats.

Coach Clark Maloney is optimistic that Heberto's success in high school will translate to the college game immediately. While at Champagnat, Guanipa averaged 17 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 2.3 apg, and 1.1 bpg.
