2010 Women's Soccer: Pre-season Outlook

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. –The Bobcats finished the 2009 season at 6-9-2 and 5-2-1 in the Sun Conference. After losing key players: Melissa Chang, '09 Team MVP, Lotta Vartia, '09 All-Conference, as well as Cindy Rivera and Tonya Uber the Bobcats returned key contributors from the 2009 season and brought in a strong recruiting class.
Top returners for the Bobcats 2010 season include Adriana Rodriguez, Shante Chevannes, and Ariana Lorezo, named a Conference player of the week last season. Coach Michelle Smith recruited 11 players to complete the 2010 team. The 2010 recruiting class includes Amanda Belarmino, Amanda Trujillo, Courtney Trujillo, Reyna Figuero, Monica Lozano, Cathleen Alleyne , Sara Mira, Danielle Smith, Julyana Cedeno, Christina Salazar, and Tania Paz.
The Bobcats season opener is September 4th, 2010 against Florida Tech at 2 PM. Come cheer on the Bobcats during their first home game of the year.
