Womans Soccer vs Ave Maria 2009

 MIAMI GARDENS, Fla

 Miami Gardens, Fla. – Freshman #18 Sara Mira scored the game winning goal in the last seconds of the second overtime to lift the St Thomas University women’s soccer team to a victory over Westminster College on Monday at the Bobcats Soccer Field. With the win, the Bobcats even the season record at 1-1.

 

The goal came with four seconds remaining on the clock in OT. Assist was credited to #19 Danielle Smith. Goalkeeper Victoria Shahbaz finished the game with 13 saves and no goals scored. The home team had 11 shots total and 6 on goal. Westminster College had 17 total shots and 13 on goal. The Griffins goalkeeper Lindsay Bekken finished with 5 saves

 

The Bobcats return to action on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 3pm versus Johnson & Wales. Come cheer on their Bobcats!
