Daytona Beach, Fla.—The St Thomas University Men's Tennis Team traveled up to Daytona Beach for the 2011 Sun Conference Tournament. The Bobcats faced SCAD in the semifinals on Friday morning and pulled through once again to come from behind and claim a spot in the Conference Final. After doubles play, STU found themselves behind 2-1. The guys were determined to claim a spot in the Final with their hopes of claiming a first Conference Tournament win. Federico Acevedo in one of the biggest matches of the year for the Bobcats came through in the clutch and pulled off a 7-6, 6-4 win to clinch the victory for the Bobcats and claim a spot in the Final. STU will face conference rival Embry-Riddle on Saturday morning for the Conference title at 10am. Go Bobcats!
