MIAMI-GARDENS, Fla. – The St. Thomas men's basketball team, ranked 16th nationally, faces backyard rival Florida Memorial tonight at 7 p.m. at the Fernandez Family Center. The Bobcats will be looking to improve their win streak, the longest active win streak in NAIA to 13 games. STU has not lost since Nov. 28 and have reeled off 12 consecutive wins including four wins over NCAA teams and two wins over ranked opponents.
The Bobcats are a perfect 6-0 at home this season at the Fernandez Center. Their last two wins at home have come over ranked teams Warner and Southeastern. Now comes rival Florida Memorial who took St. Thomas to overtime in a 65-64 STU win at Florida Memorial's facility on Jan. 9. The win at FL Memorial was the ninth win of the current 12-game win streak.
